چکیده

In this paper, the main aim is to examine performance of turbulence models shed light on effect modeling in capturing different in-cylinder phenomena under large two-stroke marine engine-like conditions. The Unsteady Reynolds Averaged Navier–Stokes (URANS) and Large Eddy Simulation (LES) are utilized. LES URANS results compared with experimental data, which show similar accuracy pressure heat release a moderately better case. predicted gas temperature at liner wall approximately 45% higher for than during expansion stroke, may lead sulfuric acid formation transfer prediction. model predicts 34% average swirl that case leads an earlier stronger interaction between flame spray, decreasing oxidation emissions.
